A former lawyer and semi-retired high school teacher, Michael has a wealth of experience with academic writing.
   He holds an Arts degree with a focus on languages and linguistics as well as two qualifications in teaching 
   English as a Second/Foreign Language. 

   Michael has taught English to foreign students as a private tutor for many years, and has written exams, test 
   papers and even textbooks. He has corrected thousands of assignments and essays and is especially interested 
   in improving the work of students from non-English-speaking backgrounds.

Robert 
BA (Hons), PhD (Flinders University)

   Robert has a PhD in Sociology and has been publishing in academic journals in the social sciences
   (Sociology, Public Health, Politics, Criminology) since 1998. Robert's extensive experience in academia  
   includes curriculum design, topic and course coordination, lecturing and tutoring and managing research 
   projects.

   Robert has also been teaching English as a Second Language since 1984, focusing particularly on essay 
   writing with specialities in grammar, sentence construction, logical flow and structure of argument, and 
   punctuation. Robert has been working as a freelance editor and essay writing tutor for both local (Australian)
   and international students. His work also encompasses editing of papers for academic journal publications,
   and business documents.














Thomas
B.Sc. (Hons) (University of Vienna), M.Sc. (University of Vienna), PhD (University of Port Elizabeth)

  
Thomas has over 20 years drafting, writing, editing and marking experience as an academic. Having worked in
   several countries on all five continents, his exposure to students from a wide range of cultural backgrounds and
   language ability has given him an acute understanding of the challenges faced by non-native English speakers.

   Thomas's main goal as an editor is to strive for clarity, brevity and simplicity and to present the reader with ideas
   that are logically structured, easy to follow and sequenced in a transparent way. Thomas holds a PhD in Zoology
   and has published extensively in the field of ecology, environmental science, oceanography, biology, zoology,
   botany and marine biology.

Jo-Ann
BA (Hons), PhD (Monash University)

   Writer and editor, Jo is a word nerd in the truest sense.

   Graduating with a PhD in Spanish, a major in French and studies in German from Monash University around 25 years 
   ago, Jo has made a career for herself in English! Her speciality is proofreading and editing academic essays 
   and theses for those whose second language is English. She works on a wide variety of subjects including the arts, 
   business and economics, education, psychology, science and engineering.

   Her strengths are a critical eye, a can-do attitude and a passion for simple, engaging communication. Jo is also a 
   freelance writer for Australia's major metropolitan newspapers and journals and covers areas as diverse as business,

  English as a Second Language (ESL) to international university students and is
